To celebrate the launch of their new DJ Category, Twitch partnered with StagePilot to produce an unprecedented 24-hour livestream featuring 24 DJs from around the world, culminating in an exclusive live event in NYC.

The Raid

StagePilot orchestrated a complex, 24-hour "Raid" event that:

Coordinated 24 DJs, including Grandmaster Flash, SOFI TUKKER, Cheat Codes and more, across multiple time zones and languages
Provided technical support and custom animation packages for each artist
Managed each artist’s Twitch account
Executed seamless transitions between sets, Raiding viewers from one channel to the next for 24 hours

The IRL event

On 8/8 at 8:08 PM, the event culminated in a StagePilot produced live show at Elsewhere in Brooklyn attended by over 500 industry professionals:

Headlined by Grammy-winning producer and DJ, Zedd
Venue transformed into an immersive "global DJ headquarters"
Massive screens displayed live feeds from the 24-hour global stream, real-time fan chat and custom Twitch DJ graphics
StagePilot's production team filmed and integrated Zedd's 60-minute set into the global stream

Historic Announcement

The event concluded with Twitch CEO Dan Clancy joining Zedd on stage to celebrate the landmark deal allowing DJs to stream an extensive catalog of tracks from major and indie labels on Twitch without fear of takedowns or copyright issues.
